She will help clarify why Filipin(x)s are the second largest Asian American group nationwide, recent immigration trends, and answer why there are so many health care workers from the Philippines in the U.S. and around the world.

Ultimately, belonging and inclusion can also mean that we work with students to co-create the policies that impact them on a daily basis.

Documentary synopsis:

In noise surrounding the immigration debate, one important perspective has been left out: that of immigrants themselves. Beyond the Dream gives voice to three young immigrants as they navigate the uncertainty of their twenties and legal status. Follow them on a journey across the country as they learn that it’s not where you're born—but where you go in life—that defines you.
